Document Attestation
The Consulate General offers document attestation services to Bangladeshi nationals living in the UAE. Any Bangladeshi national requiring attestation of any of the listed documents below or services is requested to follow the detailed procedure.
- Academic Certificate (SSC/HSC/Honours/ Masters/MBBS/ Any other academic certificates)
- Birth Certificate
- Nikah Nama
- Marriage Certificate
- Affidavit
- Bangladesh Passport
- Any other document attested by MoFA, Dhaka
NB: Please note that documents originating in Bangladesh must be attested by the respective Ministries before being submitted to the Consulate or our outsourcing centre for counter-attestation.
A. Nikah Nama/ Marriage Certificate/Kabin Nama Attestation
- Original Nikah Nama/ Marriage Certificate/ Kabin Nama attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka
- Photocopy of Nikah Nama/ Marriage Certificate/ Kabin Nama
- Passport copy of both husband and wife
- If the applicant cannot come in person, they may nominate a representative and send a letter of authorization along with all the required documents.
B. Academic Certificate (SSC/ HSC/ Honours/ Masters) Attestation
- Original academic certificates attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka
- Photocopy of the academic certificate(s)
- Original Passport and a photocopy
- If the applicant cannot come in person, they may nominate a representative and send a letter of authorization along with all the required documents.
C. Birth Certificate Attestation
- Original ‘Birth Certificate’ attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka
- Photocopy of the ‘Birth Certificate’
- Original passport and a photocopy
- If the applicant cannot come in person, they may nominate a representative and send a letter of authorization along with all the required documents.
D. Affidavit
- Original unsigned affidavit
- Photocopy of the affidavit
- Original passport of the applicant and a photocopy
- Photocopy of the Emirates ID of the applicant
- The applicant must appear before the Consular Officer and sign the document in the officer’s presence.
E. Consular Letter
- An application requesting the issuance of the letter mentioning specific reasons. Address the application to the Consul General.
- Original passport of the applicant and a photocopy
- Photocopy of the Emirates ID of the applicant
- If the applicant cannot come in person, they may nominate a representative and send a letter of authorization along with all the required documents.

Ordinary (Service Delivered in 3 working days): AED 37 (For first 5 pages), AED 7 for each additional page
Urgent (Service Delivered Same Day): AED 55 (for first 5 pages), AED 7 for each additional page
Commerical Document Attestation
Ordinary (Service Delivered in 3 working days): AED 110 (For first 5 pages), AED 7 for each additional page
Urgent (Service Delivered Same Day): AED 202 (for first 5 pages), AED 7 for each additional page
NOC/ Consular Letter
Ordinary (Service Delivered in 3 working days): AED 37 (For first 5 pages), AED 7 for each additional page
Urgent (Service Delivered Same Day): AED 55 (for first 5 pages), AED 7 for each additional page
Foreign Document Attestation
AED 37 per page
An additional processing fee may be charged by the authorised service centre for providing these services.
