After submitting the application through various Bangladesh Embassies/High Commissions to the Ministry of foreign Affairs, the certificate is issued upon approval by the competent authority in accordance with the relevant citizenship laws/rules/regulations.

If the application for renunciation of Bangladeshi citizenship is approved, the original Bangladeshi passport must be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

  • Treasury Payment Slip copy of 20,000/- Taka
    (Code No: 1-7301-0001-2681)
  • Copy of applicant’s Bangladeshi passport
  • Recommendation letter from the concerned High Commission/Embassy

20,000/- Taka to be deposited through treasury Payment Slip in any branch of Bangladesh Bank/Sonali Bank under code number 1-7301-0001-2681

  1. Fields marked with a red star mark in the application form must be filled in. Other fields are optional.
  2. Before completing the application process, it can be saved if necessary, and later the draft application can be resumed from the service management option.
  3. After submission, a separate tracking number will be provided for each application. Using this, the progress/status of the application can be tracked from the service management option.
